Live At Leeds captures The Who at their maximum R&B peak, on stage at the University of Leeds in February 1970, delivering a performance so visceral, so unrelenting, it still sets the gold standard more than five decades later.Upon it's release in 1970, Live At Leeds was met with immediate critical acclaim. Critics and fans alike were stunned by it's raw power and unfiltered authenticity - a stark contrast to the often overly polished live albums of the era. It quickly came to be regarded as one of the greatest live rock recordings ever made. Here, Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon are locked in a ferocious, telepathic interplay - equal parts precision and chaos. The band brings an almost proto-metal aggression to supercharged covers like "Young Man Blues," "Summertime Blues," and "Shakin' All Over," while tearing through originals such as "My Generation," and "Magic Bus" with blistering intensity. This 180-gram 45 RPM 2LP edition brings that legendary performance into stunning focus. Mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering directly from the original analog master tapes, every ounce of energy is preserved - from the crack of the snare to the roar of the amplifiers. Pressed at Quality Record Pressings, the quiet surfaces and dynamic range elevate the listening experience to something startlingly immediate, as if you're standing just feet from the stage. The strengths of Live At Leeds are undeniable: explosive dynamics, raw authenticity, and a band performing at the absolute height of it's powers.180-gram 45 RPM double LPIncludes "The Magic Bus," and "Shakin' All Over"Mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering from the original analog master tapesPressed at Quality Record PressingsStoughton Printing tip-on old style gatefold jacket with scuff resistant matte finish
